It's Okay...

Vegeta closed the door to his home behind him quietly,
as he tried not to wake his family sleeping upstairs.
Yet again, he had stayed out late training, only
coming home to eat a quick dinner then head back out.
He would have stayed home the rest of the evening, but
he was sure could push himself above his limits, to the
point past an Ascended Super Saiyajin. He was so close,
but he realized it was late and decided to go home. And,
though he didn't really agree with the idea, stay home
the next day.

As he slowly flew up the stairs, he heard whimpering.
He put his hand and ear to the twins door, and didn't
hear anything. He walked over and opened his and Kaira's
bedroom door. There was nothing but moonlight, but he
could see his wife constantly twitching and shaking. She
clawed at his pillow, making a sad face everytime she did.
She was causing the whimpering, and he begun to know why.

He walked over to his side of the bed, kicked off his shoes,
and grabbed his lover's trembling hand. It stopped shaking,
but she still whimpered. While still holding her hand, he
got under the sheets and pulled her close to his body. She
smelled his familiar scent and opened her eyes.

"Did you miss me?" he said resting his head.

"You're such a bastard... making me worry about... you...
staying out late..." She soon fell back asleep.

"It's okay, I'm here now..." He kissed her head and fell
asleep himself. He wasn't so angry about staying home now.

"Thank you..."
