The Way It Turns Out Ch.3


Kaira turned around at the sound of Vegeta calling her name.
"Yes?" she said as she walked to the bathroom. "What is it?" She
noticed he was poking at his ears. "Kaira, do I have big ears? I
just noticed..." She looked at her lover with a worried face. Of
he did! But she didn't want to tell him, because she didn't know how
he would take it. "Well Kaira, do I?"
"Well, I mean... They're not..huge.."
"But they're big... Aren't they..?"
"So what if they are? To be honest, I think they make you look cute!"
"That's not the point!"
"Well what is?"
"How come you didn't tell I had satellite dishes as ears?!" he said
pulling at them.
"Like I said," she said grabbing them, "they make you look cute!"
"Ugh..."


Bulma, Kaira, and ChiChi sat outside eating a lunch that Mrs.
Breifs had made for them. Bulma and ChiChi wanted to talk to Kaira,
being that they haven't really talked in a while. Though, the only
topic they could talk about was Kaira, and her pregnancy scare with the
Saiyajin prince.

"It was one time! And we haven't done it since then! It was weeks ago.
WEEKS! Leave me alone about it." Kaira said angrily.

"We're trying to help you!" Bulma said. "Of all people, why that over-
grown baby?!" Kaira just sat quietly. "I'm sorry, Kai. We're just
looking out for you."

"It's okay... I understand. I'm going to go check on the boys. I'll be
back." Kaira stood up and walked around the bushes to the Gravity
Chamber.


Ryuu jumped in the air and tried to kick at his father's neck,
but he blocked it with his forearm, and sent the teen flying back with
a punch to the face. He landed in a corner on the floor, but jumped back
up and tripped his father. "You know, this is kinda fun!" Ryuu said as
he dodged his father's punches.

"Heh. You sound just like Kakarot."

"Uncle Goku? Mom always said that I had his energy."

"Heh. At least you have my good looks."

"Really?" Ryuu said, trying to hold himself back from laughing.

"Now what the hell is that supposed to mean?! I'll have you know that
if I wasn't handsome, you wouldn't even exist!"

"I'm just kidding! I'm just kidding!" Ryuu said laughing.

"Hmph! You better be!" the prince said with his arms crossed.

"You know, I really miss this..." Kaira walked in, closing the door
behind. When the gravity came back on, she was still walking as if the
force didn't bother her at all. "How are my boys doing?"

"Tell this boy of yours that he gets his handsome face from me!"

"Ryuu, you get the looks from Dad."

"Yes ma'am. Hey Dad, are we finished here?"

"Already? You're not even sweating!"

"I know but, I have some last minute packing to do."

"You're leaving me already?!" Kaira said sadly. "Not now! At least tonight!"

"Don't worry! Come on Dad. Wanna help me?"

"Yeah." Vegeta said, walking towards his lover. "I'll see you soon," he said,
kissing her cheek, "baby..."

"Vegeta, please..." she said smiling. Ryuu smiled weakly.

"It's okay, Mom."

"Well, should we go Ryuu?" Vegeta said, holding Kaira around her waist. This
made Ryuu smile, because he hadn't seen this in quite some time.

"Yes sir. Love you Mom."

"I love you too, sweetie. Love you, Veggie kun." she said, kissing both of them.
The boys walked out of the chamber, helping Kaira out.


Ryuu zipped up his last bag, and made sure that the medicine was in his
pocket. He was thinking about how happy his mother would be, and how happy he
would be to see his father well again. "Do want to see it Ryuu?" Present Day
Vegeta asked him.

"Yes sir." Vegeta took and opened a little box out of his pocket, and showed
his son a ring. "Wow Dad! That's nice!"

"Isn't it? You see, it has her birthstone in it..."

"When are you gonna do it?" Ryuu asked excitedly. They heard Kaira go into her
room.

"Now." Vegeta quickly walked over to Kaira's room, and knocked on the door.

"Oh! Hi Vegeta!" Kaira said sweetly.

"Can I talk to you?" Vegeta said, smiling.

"S-sure..." She closed the door behind him.



Ryuu ran downstairs carrying his last bag. "Did he do it yet?!" Goku
said, coming through the door.

"Not yet! He's doing it now."

"Good for them! I wish I was able to propose... I was actually kinda forced
to be married...hehe.."

"Well, that's believeable..."


-In Kaira's Room-

"What is it, Vegeta?" Kaira said, worried.

"Don't be scared. This is good news. Sit down." They sat down on her bed.
"Kaira, as you know, we are supposed to be married in the future."

"Yes?"

"And, I don't want to be married if I'm supposed to."

"Oh... I-I see." she said, looking down. He lifted her head by her chin.

"That didn't mean I didn't want to be married."

"Yes?" she said, smiling.

"Kaira, I would really like for us to... go back to the way we were.. That
would be nice. But I want you to be more than a friend, or a lover... I
want you to be a mate. My mate."

"...yes?"

"So, Kaira," he said as he pulled the box out of his pocket, "would you be my mate,
because you want to?" He showed her the ring and took it out to put it on her
finger.

"Oh my, Vegeta... I.. Y-yes! Yes, I will!" Kaira hugged her fiancee tightly, and he
hugged her back. "Oh Vegeta.. I promise! I'll be the best wife ever! And, the best
mother..."

"That is, if you want to."

"Of course I do.."


-Later That Night-

Ryuu put his last bag in the time machine. He couldn't help but keep on looking
at Kaira. Though she looked sad, he was happy to actually see his mother smiling. And
the happiness that would come to his own mother when she sees the medicine. "Well," he
said, stepping down from the ladder on the machine, "I guess it's time for me to-" He was
interuptted by Kaira hugging him tightly. "Mom?"

"Please, be safe. I don't want anything happening to you, do you hear me?"

"Hehe... Yes ma'am. You be safe too." Kaira let go of him and let him walk over to his father.
"Dad, you promise to take of yourself?"

"Well, I'll try..." Ryuu slightly hugged him too, and Veeta hugged him back. But, only Kaira
noticed it.

"Bye everyone! I'll tell Mom, Dad, and Imoutou-san you said hi!" Ryuu said waving, looking at his
parents.

"I-imoutou?!" Vegeta and Kaira screamed.
